Nosework – Novice Class

Description

The Novice Nosework 8-week course will focus on preparing dog and handler teams for competition in UKC, AKC, and NACSW nosework trials. Dogs who have completed the Introduction to Nosework Class, as well as dog and handler teams who already have experience with nosework, are invited to participate.

Teams will be challenged by training games, handling exercises, and practicing trial situations. We will incorporate all elements, odors, and distractions commonly found in the major nosework competition venues. This class places emphasis on building strong communication between the handler and the dog while you work through many of the challenges present in competitions.

Prerequisites:  Completion of Introduction to Nosework or Instructor Approval
Maximum – 6 dogs
